LATEST REVIEW

We booked Rugged Outdoors for my son’s 7th birthday and it was absolutely fantastic. Craig was really accommodating when I had to change the date at the last minute cos I got half term week wrong !

Im not totally antisocial but I loved that it was just our family as opposed to a group of people, it made the experience even better because we could do exactly what we/the kids wanted. There was no schedule, just very relaxed and led by the kids - if they naturally showed an interest in something (and there’s a lot to show an interest in!) Craig and Tracy would just expand on it, their knowledge and passion for the outdoors and everything it has to offer is both impressive and infectious. Seeing the pride on the kids faces when they finally got the flint and steel to make fire was something I’ll never forget. We went on a cold and wet day but it didn’t impact it at all - sitting under a huge parachute tent in front of a campfire drinking hot chocolate and eating the bread we made was superb! We’re going back in the Spring - I’ve already asked Craig if we can make some tea from the various leaves/plants (I’ll let him tell me which ones!) and my partner has asked him to show him how to track animals. The activities can be tailored for literally any age or size of group, that’s the beauty of being outside. Thank you both for such a memorable time, we’re telling everyone about it! See you soon! Rachael, Sam, Toby and Ella x

"Cant believe how the four of us felt after a day with Craig and Tracy. They had a roaring fire going to keep us warm, loads of different things to try and we left at the end of the day feeling like we had made new friends. We totally recommend visiting The Rugged Outdoors"    Cathrine Drummond

Our activities take adults back to their childhood building dens and swinging in tree's and lets the children's imaginations run wild working alongside Mum and Dad.

We teach indigenous living skills that our ancestors would have used on a day to day basis, building shelters, foraging for food, lighting fires to cook on and many more amazing things.
